Camp Joy (Chinese Brush Painting)


Practice the ancient arts of Chinese Brush Painting, Calligraphy, and Japanese paper marbling with artist and teacher, Joy Harvey.  Joy has over 30 years experience to share with this limited enrollment class.  A fine arts background is recommended.  The 8-day workshop begins Sunday afternoon with the first meal being Sunday dinner and continues through the week and weekend with meals, lodging and instruction and concludes with breakfast on the following Sunday.  A materials list will be sent to registered participants and specialized supplies will be available to purchase.

Fees: (Limited enrollment of 15 students;  Please contact Joy Harvey before enrolling)

  • $837 includes: 7 nights lodging, 19 meals, use of the camp, lesson plans, hands-on teaching and constructive critique.

  • $727 includes: 19 meals, lesson plans, hands-on teaching and constructive critique however no lodging on-site.

Thursday night will be a free night for attendants to visit and dine in the quaint town of Cambria (onsite dinner at Camp will be available for an additional fee taken care of while you are at Camp Joy).

A deposit of $250 ($100 is non-refundable) is required and the balance is due at least 30 days prior to the workshop. If you decide to transfer to a different workshop there is a $50 transfer fee.
